The Olympia Shopping Center (OEZ) in Munich is one of the top-selling properties in the portfolio of real estate developer and operator of shopping malls ECE. Shortly before its 50th birthday, the OEZ was extensively renovated. On more than 56,000 m² there are 135 shops as well as areas for gastronomy and entertainment. The extensive refurbishment of the center includes a modern mall concept with the themes "Love to shop", "Love to shop cool", "Love fashion" and "Love food" and an attractive new design for a real feel-good atmosphere.
A new lighting concept creates a modern, bright and friendly atmosphere for each of the different subject areas. All of the lighting is designed in tunable white, can be controlled individually and thus optimally adapts to the circadian course of the day.
The flexible NoLimit modular system combines accent lighting with basic lighting and gives the ceilings a rhythmic effect with a dynamic, linear grid. The NoLimit system is also used in the atrium, where light is subtly integrated into archways that also serve as a support system for decorative lighting elements.
Finally, DL1 day/night downlights ensure a change in light focus (sun) and soft basic light (moon) without changing the quality of the overall lighting. This creates a varied and stimulating environment that increases the quality of stay and the length of time customers stay.
